International Symposium on Polymer Nanocomposites 2022 (ISPN2022)
The Capriccio group attended the “International Symposium on Polymer Nanocomposites 2022” (ISPN2022) in Lorient (France) from September 28th to 30th, being represented by Felix Weber and Sebastian Pfaller. Felix Weber gave a talk on “Modeling size effects in polymer nanocomposites with a quantitative interphase model”, summarizing the results published in the corresponding journal articles (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ijmecsci.2021.106564 and https://doi.org/10.1016/j.compositesa.2022.107094). Sebastian Pfaller, who is also member of the scientific committee of ISPN2022, chaired the session “Modeling”, which followed the keynote presentation “From nano to single polymer chain: A chemist perspective of the glass transition” by Armand Soldera from Université de Sherbrooke. The symposium was a great opportunity to get in contact with renowned scientists focusing on experimental and numerical investigations in the field of polymer nanocomposites. The Capriccio group intends to closely maintain these contacts and, optimally, to intensify them in the framework of further collaborations.
