We are pleased to announce the completion und successful defense of Eva Richter’s bachelor thesis! She continued the studies within the polystyrene-silica interphase project and implemented an automated generation of representative volume elements (RVEs) with multiple filler inclusions at various sizes and mutual distances. After this, she extensively investigated the impact of filler distribution and content on the overall stiffness and strength of the RVEs.

Fortunately, we could win Eva to stay part of the Capriccio group as a student research assistant and to extend her studies in the context of multiscale modelling of polymer nanocomposites.

We wish Eva all the best for her further master’s studies and are looking forward to her further insights into polymeric materials.
