We are delighted to announce the publication of “Investigating fracture mechanisms in glassy polymers using coupled particle-continuum simulations” in Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids.

Using the Capriccio method, coupling molecular dynamics and continuum mechanics, this paper investigates the physical origin of fracture in glassy polymers and proposes that the distribution of microscopic structures is a fundamental property linked to the fracture behavior of glassy polymers.
